BMC · Concerts · Night Beat

Northwest favorite, pianist Michael Refvem performs a program of ambitious works on BMC Night Beat, Thursday, May 3, 7:30pm at First Congregational Church, 2401 Cornwall, Bellingham. Two Beethoven sonatas – no. 24 in F-sharp major and no. 27 in F minor – bookend Mr. Refvem’s recital. He will also perform Debussy Études Book 1 (all six!), Mozart Sonata no. 13 in B-flat major, and J. S. Bach Toccata in E minor.

Equally at ease as a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician, Michael Refvem collaborated with Jeremy Berry, violist of the Calidore String Quartet, in a series of recitals for the BMC and on Classical KING FM 98.1 in Seattle (December 2015). Now based in Montreal, Canada, Michael Refvem returned to Seattle in February to perform Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto to rave reviews.
