BMC is part of coalition bringing ‘Roomful of Teeth’ to Bellingham

roomful-3

The BMC partners with the Whatcom Symphony Orchestra, the WWU Music Department, the Whatcom Chorale and the Bellingham Festival of Music to present Roomful of Teeth, an a capella vocal group dedicated to exploring the expressive potential of the human voice. The Grammy-award winning ensemble Roomful of Teeth arrives in Bellingham for a stellar, one-night-only performance, January 27 at 7:30 pm!

To hear a sample of Roomful of Teeth’s award-winning work Partita for Eight Voices, which received both a Grammy for the ensemble and a Pulitzer for composer/performer Caroline Shaw, click here or here. From Tuvan throat singing to Sardinian cantu a tenore, Hindustani music to Inuit throat singing, this group continues to push the boundaries of the human voice. This is a rare opportunity to see one of the most innovative vocal groups out there!

All student tickets are FREE, allowing our community’s young musicians to be inspired by the next generation of classical performers. Tickets are available through WWU’s Theatre Box Office at (360) 650-6146. Don’t miss out; get your tickets now!
